Coronation Street fans have branded Kevin Webster a “hypocrite” as his wife Abi Webster begs for his forgiveness as he learns of her affair.
During Wednesday’s instalment of the popular ITV soap, viewers were gripped as they watched the epic double bill which saw Abi’s secret one night stand aired out like dirty laundry.
Shortly after the death of her son Seb, Abi found herself spiralling out of control and into the arms of her criminal solicitor Imran Habeeb who was also in a committed relationship at the time.
The following day the grieving mum woke up full of regret and has kept her drunken mistake a secret ever since.
But now that the cat is out of the bag, Abi has been grovelling to her husband to forgive her for her hurtful act as he holds the future of their marriage in his hands.
Just days away from taking a family trip abroad, doting dad Kev is torn over whether or not he should make up with Abi or call time on their relationship for good.
Now, loyal viewers of the popular long-standing show have called out the car mechanic for not forgiving his wife after he cheated on his first wife Sally with Tyrone’s girlfriend, Molly.
Not only did he sleep with someone else but Kevin also got her pregnant who later gave birth to his son Jack who Abi is hoping to adopt.
And viewers were quick to point this out as fans swarmed to Twitter to share their thoughts on his reaction to Abi’s betrayal online.
One user penned: “Kev should know all about cheating. Didn’t he cheat on Sally years back and have a kid with Tyrone’s gf? #Corrie.”
Another added: “Kev, your hypocrisy is astounding, Jack is the result of WHAT relationship just remind me again?! #Corrie.”
A third chimed in with: “Angry little Kevin is …. angry again. Hypocrites of the week. Angry Kev and snobby Sally who’ve obviously forgotten their pasts Greg Kelly and THAT Natalie ‘no sleeves’ Barnes anyone?? #Corrie.”
