Coronation Street fans cringe as Tim and Steve spill on sex lives amid 'ban'

Coronation Street fans couldn’t help but cringe as Steve Barlow and Tim Metcalfe shared too much information about their sex lives.

During Friday’s (March 25) instalment of the popular ITV soap, the loving husband confessed to his close pal how he has been struggling to keep the spark alive in his marriage with Sally due to his poor health.

While he continues to recover from his serious heart surgery, Tim has struggled to adjust to the six-week ban from exerting himself too much in order to reduce the likelihood of future heart problems.

But as the weeks have gone by, the fan favourite has quickly come on leaps and bounds just as his wife Sally returns from her family trip to visit her sister Gina.

And it’s fair to say the loving husband has felt her absence as he discussed how he has struggled to contain himself as the days countdown to the end of his sex ban.

Tim explained: “I’ve got a meeting with the cardiologist tomorrow, I’m hoping that he’s going to lift the ban.

“Yeah when I had the operation he said that me and Sally had to refrain from intimacy until I got the ‘all clear’. Total abstinence.”

“All intimacy? Even self-intimacy?” Steve asked.

“Oh yeah,” Tim confirmed. “It’s way too risky. Crazy, isn’t it?”

“Oh, Tracey’s a very demanding woman, she wouldn’t stand for that,” Steve chuckled.

“Well, Sally’s a pretty passionate and all – she put me on a timer. I’m simmering, man!

“I’m telling you, as soon as I get the nod from the head chef, I’m gonna be cooking on gas if you know what I mean.”

Fans couldn’t help but share their thoughts on the hilarious interaction as they took to Twitter to giggle on their blunt exchange.

One user penned: “Tim can’t wait for some Rumpy puppy [four cry laughing emojis] #corrie.”

Another added: “Steve and Tim discussing sex and Tim and Sally not giving in pure Corrie comedy #Corrie.”

A third penned: “There was way too much information in that conversation between Steve and Tim [puking emoji] #Corrie.”

Meanwhile, another joked: “That’s just what we need to ease all of us into the weekend hearing about Tim & Steve’s sex lives ! [cry laughing emoji] Thanks Corrie !”
