Coronation Street fans have been left divided over Tim and Sally Metcalfe’s latest storyline on the ITV cobbles, with some finding it hilarious – while others think it should be yanked off-air altogether.
After Tim was forced to undergo a triple heart bypass due to his declining health, the couple were banned from having sex for several weeks while he recovered.
And once they were given the all-clear, the house was filled with euphemisms and innuendo – at least, until Tim’s mum Elaine kept interrupting the randy pair.
Tim, however, has been struggling to perform in the bedroom after his surgery.
Fans turned to Twitter with their thoughts, with one penning: “Please let Tim and Sally do it, then we can move on from this cringing storyline… #Corrie.”

As another begged: “#Corrie Dear script writers. Please, please, please stop showing Tim and Sally’s sexy time!! I can’t take it anymore.”
And now it seems like they could be about to get their way, as Elaine looks set to exit the cobbles.
Next week, spoilers for the soap have revealed Sally will return from her sister Gina’s house to find Elaine and Tim set up in front of the TV.
She’s miffed as she realises Elaine’s feet are well and truly under the table after her son asked her to move in.
But Sally re-asserts that it’s time she moved out so they can spend some alone time together in the bedroom – forcing Tim to try and stifle his anxiety.
Sally finally bites the bullet and suggests to Elaine that it’s time she moved out.
The couple see her out, with Tim sad to see his long-lost mum go and Sally desperate to take advantage of an empty house. But things don’t go to plan for the lovebirds…
Elsewhere in the soap next week, it appears loan shark Rick Neelan has left one last surprise for Gary.
Newly elected councillor Maria is left horrified when Beth shows her a photo in the Weatherfield Gazette of the fight at the funeral. Meanwhile, Ed and Paul discover a holdall containing £17,000 under the floorboards at Rick’s old house.
But what will Gary do with the money?
He later offers to bank the money for a weary Kelly, but, suddenly cagey, she makes out as though she’ll do it herself.
