Coronation Street newcomer Lauren Bolton could be harbouring a secret connection to someone else on the cobbles – as fans think she is Kelly Neelan’s secret sister.
Lauren, played by Cait Fitton, has been seducing Max Turner since turning up in Griff’s dodgy gang. It seems to be working, as Max has turned against Daryan and his former Speed Daal employers.
But could she be hiding a DNA link to a very familiar face?

Fans certainly seem to think so, and took to social media in droves to theorise about the new villain.
One eagle-eyed viewer wrote: “Lauren is probably Harvey’s daughter or something, or Rick Neelan’s secret lovechild… she’s gonna have a link to someone on the cobbles!”

As someone else followed up with a very sarcastic: “Well, everybody knows that all white, blonde, young women look the same. But LAUREN. That character is called LAUREN. She *looks* not a bit like Kelly. She *is* not a bit like Kelly. LAUREN.”
“Is the racist Kelly meant to be the same age as Max?” a third fan wondered, while someone else said: “Who is this Kelly 2.0?”
Others were less keen on the idea, as another fan said: “So because Lauren is blonde people seem took think she looks like Kelly lol!”
While someone else theorised: “I think Lauren is probably Callum’s daughter.”
The latter would be a devastating twist for Max after the pair slept together – making their relationship incestuous as they would both be Callum’s children.
In Monday’s episode (November 14), Alya confronted Griff and his gang after Spider threw red paint over the doors of Speed Daal.

She was met with a barrage of racist abuse disguised as banter – with Max looking smug as he drove away with Griff.
He even told Daryan: “You’re stealing my oxygen.”
David and Shona are determined to talk him down from associating with the gang – while Spider is desperate to keep his part in things secret from Toyah.
Later, Lauren compared Speed Daal to a “crack den” and said it’s “so unhygienic”.
