Coronation Street star Sally Carman and EastEnders actress Danielle Harold were involved in a major wardrobe blunder at the British Soap Awards.
The actresses, who play Abi Webster and Lola Pearce respectively, were dropping jaws left and right as they appeared on the red carpet – but in the exact same jumpsuit.
The statement piece was constructed entirely of sheer black lace, featuring transparent sections which bared plenty of soap star flesh despite falling to the floor with sleeves reaching the wrists.
The stunning ensemble featured square shoulder pads and flared trouser legs, and both actresses matched it up with a pair of strappy heeled sandals.
Setting her aside from Sally, however, Danielle added a chunky black belt to the centre of her outfit with laces in the centre, switching things up with a black leather clutch bag and mint green manicure.
The Lola star let her white blonde curls fall down past her shoulders as she smouldered for the camera with a bold make-up look, featuring a burgundy lip and dark eyeliner.
Sally, meanwhile, wore her cropped blonde hair loose to frame her face, opting for a bright red lip and hot pink nails as she beamed at the camera – looking nothing like her character Abi.
She is currently up for the Best Leading Performer category at the Soap Awards 2022, embroiled in a huge storyline as Abi battles for custody of her son Alfie after Imran Habeeb’s death.
And Danielle, meanwhile, was putting on a brave face after reports emerged that her character had been axed in a major EastEnders shake-up.
A source told The Sun: “Dan was in pieces. The cull came out of the blue.
“She was not expecting the chop because her character has been a firm favourite with viewers. She’ll be written out with no option to return.”
She was reportedly expecting to discuss an extension of her contract with bosses when the news came.
A further four cast members have also been axed from the show, it has been reported – Stuart Highway star Ricky Champ, Peter Beale actor Dayle Hudson, Dana Monroe AKA Barbara Smith, and Jada Lennox actress Kelsey Calladine-Smith.
A source told MailOnline of the cull : “Whenever a new boss comes in there’s always going to be big changes and it’s no different with Chris.
“He’s been working hard behind the scenes since January and is really planning to shake things up which means saying goodbye to some characters.”
