Corrie’s Sean ‘set for abusive relationship’ as fans twig Frank’s true identity

Just as Sean Tully thought things were looking up for him in Coronation Street, fans are sure they’ve discovered a sinister twist about his new boyfriend Frank Bradley.

Frank entered the soap this month, played by former Brookside star Simon O’Brien, and the pair immediately hit it off in the Rovers.

But Frank has also been revealed as funeral director George Shuttleworth’s old school bully – and was caught humming the teasing song he used to sing around him.

Fans now think it spells trouble for Sean, and are fretting that he could soon be dragged into an abusive relationship as Frank’s secrets are exposed.

Taking to Facebook, one eagle-eyed fan wrote: “Cannot stand Frank (Sean’s boyfriend), he is a vile character, don’t like this story!”

Sean could be in for a horror abuse twist

Someone else agreed: “Hope this Sean and Frank story is not going to turn into an abusive or bullying relationship scenario.”

“I think he will end up bullying and abusing Sean too…” another fan predicted.

As another worried: “Sean’s son is meant to be coming back, hope he doesn’t start bullying him!”

A fifth theorised: “George isn’t afraid of him anymore. Sean might be his target this time.”

But someone else insisted Frank might have changed, writing: “We barely know anything about him other than he bullied George at school how many years ago???

“People didn’t like or trust Phill at first either! Just give him a chance, he may turn out to be good for Sean and might have changed since his school days!”

Along with his role in Corrie, Simon has also appeared in shows like Fraggle Rock and Grange Hill, as well as co-presenting the BBC One show To Buy Or Not To Buy.

As a presenter, he’s also worked on The Great House Giveaway and Find It, Fix It, Flog It.

Coronation Street has had its fair share of hard-hitting abuse storylines in the past, most recently with Geoff Metcalfe and his wife Yasmeen.

Heartbreaking scenes saw Geoff lock Yasmeen in a box for hours, force her into racy dresses and humiliate her in public, along with forcing her to clean the house every day and threatening her with a knife.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
