Her Majesty met with cast and crew members including Julia Goulding who plays Shona Platt – and she recalled the experience prior to her cashbuilder round on The Chase.
When questioned on the show by Bradley Walsh, Julia spoke about her experience with The Queen – and revealed the conversation they had as she made her way around the set.
As Bradley welcomed Julia he said: “They recently had the Queen up didn’t they, to say hello to everyone. How was that?”
She responded: “It was wonderful. It was such a good day, it really gave us a lift. I think none of us had really been together at all on the lot for, well… since before the pandemic.
“It was a really really special day for everyone.”
Bradley pushed for more information as he said: “Did you get to meet her? Did she say anything to you?”
Julia recalled her chat with The Queen as the star added: “She said ‘How long have you been on the show?’,” and she responded: “‘I’m the baby of the family I’ve only been here five years.'”
The star smiled as she reflected on her sweet encounter with the Queen as she met the royal for the first time while at work.
Julia appeared on the show as part of the celebrity edition of the famous quiz show as she looked sensational donning a green top which complemented her bouncy brunette locks.
The Corrie star was joined by Oz Clarke, Laura Hamilton and Mr Motivator as they all teamed up to try and beat The Chaser – Paul Sinha – and raise money for their chosen charities.
Julia kicked off the round with an incredible success as she built up £8,000 in her cash builder and managed to bring all of it back to the table.
The rest of the team were then all given the opportunity to bring home the cash to distribute to charities but unfortunately, despite having three people in the round, they were unable to beat The Chaser.
The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
