Dancing on Ice final set to air next week as Kimberly Wyatt hailed 'frontrunner'

After several weeks of jaw-dropping stunts and spectacular dance routines, Dancing on Ice will soon be coming to an end.

This year, 10 brave celebs took on the challenge of exhibiting their moves while entertaining audiences for the popular ITV show.

But for the celebs who participated in the glitzy competition, it wasn’t at all smooth sailing, with some stars falling to the ice while risking life-changing injuries.

Now that The final of Dancing on Ice is fast approaching next week (Sunday, 27), Daily Star has taken a look at the finalists and who betting company Ladbrokes believe will be likely crowned as the 2022 champion.

Professional dancer Regan Gascoigne has stole the hearts of the nation with his incredible skating ability.

Bringing his football father Paul to tears on several occasions, the young star has taken to the ice like a duck to water.

Talking about the young star in more detail, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Regan’s received a massive boost as far as the odds are concerned, and with just over a week to go until a winner is crowned.

“It looks like it’ll take something pretty spectacular from Brendan or Kimberly to stop the long-time favourite from going all the way.”

Bets on Regan currently stand at 2/5.

Former Strictly dancer Brendan Cole has wowed audiences with his amazing skating skills on Dancing on Ice.

Although fans have questioned whether he should be allowed to take part due to his dancing background, Brendan has certainly earnt his place in the competition, while brushing off any criticisms.

When questioned about his background, Brendan previously said: “I think everybody’s got their own strength and weakness.

“And you can’t compare apples with pears. Yes, I find it easy to pick up choreography because it’s something I’ve done for many years, whereas somebody else may struggle.”

He added: “There’s definitely a competition within a competition for the ones that have dance experience, of which there are a few.”

The odds for Brendan currently stand at 3/1.

Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt has often been mistaken as the professional skater by Dancing on Ice viewers while on the ITV show.

Captivating fans with her natural skating ability, Kimberly has rarely put a foot wrong in the competition.

Before taking part in the live shows, Kimberly told fans she longs to turn up the heat.

She said: I”‘m ready to turn up the heat and bring out the performer I know I can be on the ice.

“I came into this really wanting to bring the fire. So hopefully we can get to the point of fierceness.”

The odds on Kimberly currently stand at 6/1.
