Dancing on Ice's Sally Dynevor worried she's not good enough days before launch show

Corrie star Sally Dynevor broke down in tears ahead of Dancing on Ice debut, fearing she’s not good enough.

The actress admitted she is terrified over the ITV series which kicks off on Sunday night.

Sally, 58, confessed: “This is the scariest thing I’ve ever done.

“I walked to base camp Everest but that was with a team and I was on two feet.

“The other scary thing that I did for Breast Cancer was I cycled from London to Paris and I vowed that I wouldn’t do anything where I didn’t have two feet on the floor.

“I have got two feet on the floor with this, but the ice is so slippery and that’s really scary.”

But she vowed to tackle her fears and feels the show will be good for her confidence.

“I don’t have much confidence in myself and I just think if I can do this, if I can skate on a live show, then I’ll just feel like I can do anything.

“A couple of years ago I probably wouldn’t do anything that was scary but as I get older I think I’ve just got to face my fears and do it.”

And her skating pro Matt Evers reassured Sally that she will be great.

When the soap star asked him on camera whether she can do it, the American, 45, replied: “Yes you can, you totally can, If I didn’t think you could, I’d say girl go home!”

Sally, who has recently been on the front of Fabulous magazine, previously told Daily Star that she was enjoying the sequins and spray tans in preparation for the competition.

Sally will take to the ice in front of millions of viewers on Sunday night

“I went to a class the other day and this lady said to me, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ve just seen that magazine, you look so glamorous,” she said.

“I said, ‘Do you know what? It’s amazing what two hours of hair and makeup can do,’ but yeah, it’s great, I’m really enjoying it.

“I never get the chance to dress up on Corrie, it’s always quite downbeat, so this is good fun. I’m really enjoying it.”

Dancing on Ice returns to ITV and ITV Hub on Sunday at 6.30pm
