Dua Lipa hints at new career as she 'signs' for Liverpool FC after meeting Anfield icon

Dua Lipa has posed for a picture with Reds legend Jamie Carragher as she ‘signs’ for Liverpool FC.

Friday night saw singing sensation Dua perform a concert at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, before meeting with legend Jamie Carragher backstage for a photo.

Dua posed up a storm with the footballing legend and her dad, while the two fellas held a football shirt with Lipa 1 printed on the back.

Carragher took to Twitter to post the iconic snap and captioned it: “Possibilities,” which refers to a line in the track One Kiss, which has become an anthem of the football club.

Not only did the word he captioned the snap refer to Dua’s song, but it hinted at the possibility of Dua making a career U-turn.

And the Liverpool home shirt which had Lipa 1 on the back appeared to announce the new ‘signing’.

After Carragher posted the snap on social media, flocks of fans couldn’t help but comment underneath it.

One footie fan said: “Sign her up.”

Another added: “Obviously a keeper with that shirt number right?”

While a third said: “Swear LFC have the best supporters.”

This came as Dua performed a gig in Liverpool on Friday night where she sang the song One Kiss while sending a message to Liverpool fans.

She said that the song had become the “unofficial anthem” for the football club, before releasing a sea of red and white balloons into the crowd enjoying her concert in the arena.

Her tack One Kiss has been played several times before and after Liverpool matches.

And back in 2018 when Dua first revealed that she had a connection with Liverpool when she performed at the Champions League final between the Reds and Real Madrid.

The singer’s fame was kickstarted in 2013 when she was in an advert for The X Factor and covered the song Lost In Music.

2015 saw her release her first-ever single New Love, and then her second titled Be the One – which was hugely successful.

Since then her fame and singing career has gone from strength to strength, with the London-born star now known all over the world.
