EastEnders Billie Jackson star unrecognisable 12 years after heartbreaking death plot

EastEnders’ Billie Jackson star looks unrecognisable 12 years after his gut-wrenching alcohol poisoning storyline.

Devon Anderson portrayed the fictional character of Billie – Bianca’s half brother – from the BBC One soap opera from 1993 until 1997.

In 2004 though, Bluey Robinson took on the role, before Devon was at the helm again when he made his second and final comeback as Carol Jackson’s son in 2010.

His comeback came as other members of the Jackson family returned to Albert Square, but Billie only remained in the soap for a few months before he was killed off.

In a heart-breaking alcohol poisoning storyline in 2010, Billie downed a bottle of vodka before falling asleep on the sofa and sadly dying in his sleep after choking on his own vomit.

But these days, the actor who portrayed Billie looks very different from his soap role more than 12 years ago.

London-born actor Devon is now 35 years of age and still classes himself as an “actor extraordinaire” as per his Instagram bio.

With under 4,000 followers on the photo-sharing app, it seems that the former soap star keeps a low profile these days.

But that being said, he does work on a podcast called Well Seasoned – which is described as “saucey, spicy and sometimes a likkle bit salty” – alongside pal and Liverpool-born musician Shak Omar.

In snaps of the former Billie actor now, he sports a full head of brown hair with a beard and tach.

In the soap Billie was known for his slender frame and boyish good looks – but 12 years on he looks extremely different with his less pronounced jawline and glossy head of hair.

Since departing EastEnders, aside from his podcast, you might has seen Devon pop up in Hollyoaks in 2006, when he took on the role of Sonny Valentine.

He also appeared in BBC One’s Casualty in December 2018, as a homeless man named Robby Watts.

EastEnders airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
