EastEnders fans found themselves amazed as killer Gray Atkins woke up from his coma and was rapidly seen walking around the hospital.
Viewers of the hit BBC soap were stunned when Chelsea finally turned up at Walford General to visit her other half after Mitch informed her that he had woken up from his coma.
Chelsea arrived at the hospital and Gray was shown laying in his hospital bed with white bandages wrapped around his head dressed in a hospital gown.
By the next scene however Gray was up, dressed in a black t-shirt and black joggers and walking around the hospital free from any cuts, bruises or scars and his dressings all gone.
Eagle-eyed fans couldn’t quite believe the change and took to Twitter to air their astonishment at his rapid recovery.
One posted: “Gray is walking around like this after a serious head injury #EastEnders”
Another wrote: “They were literally saying Gray probably wouldn’t wake up about a week ago… Walford General with its miracle cures!!!!!!! Nurse Sonia Nightingale has done it again!!!!!!”
A third viewer tweeted: “How the hell is Gray ready to leave hospital already pls.”
A fourth continued: “Gray’s done well … he was in a coma yesterday!”
A fifth noted: “#EastEnders these soap hospitals are amazing. You go from death’s door to full recovery with no scars or side effects within days.”
Another stunned social media user said: “So Gray has woken up had one physio session gone home asked Chelsea for sex and is now on the hunt to see who knows what about Tina’s body all in one afternoon… The guy is some kind of superhuman.”
Elsewhere in Friday’s (March 4) double bill fans were delighted to see Zack and Nancy finally recognise their feelings for each other and get their relationship back on track just in time for him to comfort her as the news of the body discovered being Tina’s was revealed to the devastated Carters.
Meanwhile Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis’ Frankie Lewis arrived back in Albert Square ahead of next week’s run of showdown episodes that will see Linda Carter return as Tina is buried and Gray’s killer past finally catches up with him.
EastEnders moves to a new schedule next week airing at 7.30 pm daily Monday – Thursday from March 7.
