EastEnders viewers have been left pleasantly surprised and rather confused after Phil Mitchell was let off by police once again.
In the last few days, Phil has been given an ultimatum by DCI Keeble in order to avoid a life sentence behind bars for Vincent Hubbard’s murder – but he would have to snitch on those that did do it to be completely free.
Due to the fact that Phil doesn’t want to be labelled as a “grass”, he refused to come clean to the cops regarding the actual murderers who committed the awful crime.
But on Tuesday night, the mechanic was presented with an extended bail so he could gain more “clarity” which left fans at home believing that he had got away with it once again.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer shared: “As if the police have just let Phil walk off again lmao.”
Another said: “Phil ‘I ain’t no grass’ Mitchell getting off again? Ugh.”
A third wrote: “So done with phil just getting away with s**t it’s so boring.”
Another fan echoed: “Phil Mitchell must be the only person who can commit so much crime, and avoid prison.”
“Extend his bail? ffs this is PHIL they’ve been banging on for years and years about how much they want him being bars,” a fifth added.
Although viewers are fully aware he had nothing to do with Vincent’s murder, the police have seized the available evidence and have managed to build a case that could put him away for years.
On Tuesday night, Callum tried to convince Phil that his best option was to tell the truth and become an informant for the poilce.
Callum who has had lots of experience of “snitching” in the past advised the east-end hard man that it’s the best way for him to enjoy his life with his family instead of a life behind bars.
But will Phil fold under pressure and become an informant for the police or will he decide to keep his mouth firmly shut?
Viewers will have to wait and see what’s next.
