EastEnders fans were left stunned during the latest episode after Kathy Beale revealed her shocking age.
As she joined Linda Carter and Denise Fox at The Vic to honour the Queen’s passing in a special scene which featured in Monday’s (September 12) episode) before the opening song, Kathy began reminiscing about the Queen’s coronation.
She said: “I was three when she was crowned.”

That would make her age 73.
Fans were stunned, believe her to be much younger than that.
“Sorry, are we supposed to believe that Kathy is 73????” asked one viewer.
“Hang on did Kathy say she was 3 at the coronation? I know she has an excellent cosmetic surgeon but that’s pushing it,” a second added.
“How tf is Kathy Beale in her 70s,” quipped at third.
A fourth agreed: “I’m sorry, Kathy in #Eastenders just said she was 3 when the Queen had her coronation? That makes her 73?! I had her at early to mid 60s….”
Elsewhere in the episode, Kat and Phil’s wedding took centre stage and drama soon ensued.
Market trader Mo surprised Kat and Phil with a celebration but Kat’s excitement is short-lived when Shirley makes her doubt her future with Phil.

After talking to Stacey, Kat lays her fears to rest but Sharon pays a visit to Phil and lets him know she is still in love with him and hands him an old photo of them, telling them how good they are together.
Phil tells Sharon he loves her too, but wants to marry Kat and dismisses her.
As Sharon reels, Zack mishears a conversation involving Kat and assumes Phil has chosen Sharon.

Raging, Kat storms over to challenge Phil who assures her he loves her, but Kat won’t let it rest and confronts Sharon. The two have a war of words with Kat telling Sharon to stay out their business.
After forgetting to order a wedding car, Rocky frantically tries to find one with the help of Bobby and Harvey. Dotty helps to fix the disastrous car they’ve found but Jean is furious at the situation.
Freddie offers to find a wedding hat for Janet to help Billy and steals the wedding car with Bobby in the back.
As Kat is seen getting ready for her big day, the doorbell rings and Kat, clad in her bridal gown, is stunned to see ex Alfie Moon, played by actor Shane Richie, appear in the doorway, before the episode ends.
He was last seen on the soap in January 2019, when he fled Walford after stealing money from Phil Mitchell.
“OMG ALFIE IS BACK!” blasted one viewer gleefully.
Another added: “He’s back after 3.5 years away Welcome Home Alfie Moon!!!!!”
