EastEnders fans were horrified on tonight’s episode of the BBC soap after violent scenes were aired before the 9pm watershed.
Viewer saw dramatic scenes unfold as Ben Mitchell admitted the Panedears that he dropped protection of Jags while he was in prison, leading to his death.
As a livid Kheerat responded in shock, he attacked Ben and began strangling him after the pair were seen punching eachother.

The violent scenes left viewers flinching with many complaining it was “far too violent” for pre-watershed viewing.
One fan fumed: “More violence before the 9pm watershed on # EastEnders again.. tut tut!”
Another raged: “These scenes should not be shown before the watershed.”
While a third said: “These are very violent scenes for this hour of the evening imo!”
The Panesars were stunned by Ben’s shocking admission and Kheerat was further enraged when Ben explained that he called off the protection after seeing Kheerat with Sharon.
This caused Kheerat to flip and try to strangle Ben.
Stacey and Suki try to diffuse the situation but Ash and Vinny encourage Kheerat.
Seeing Ben’s life slip away and wanting Kheerat to stop, Suki admits she is the reason Jags went to prison – Vinny was never in danger, she wanted to punish Jags for being with Habiba.
As Stacey takes Ben to Kathy’s, the Panesar children reel and question how their mum could do this. Suki attempts to explain herself and apologise but Kheerat tells her they’re done, they can never forgive her.
Meanwhile, Kathy’s worry for Ben increases when Phil reveals he saw him high and they learn he was in a fight.
When Stacey arrives with Ben who is still out of it, Ben reveals he killed Jags leaving Phil and Kathy mortified.
When Ben refuses their help, Phil feels no sympathy for his son and later tells Kathy he’s done with him.
Empathising with where Ben’s pain is coming from, Kathy decides Phil needs to know the truth and tells him Ben was raped.
Elsewhere, Jay enjoys a night out as Frankie and Lola continue to wind him up about Honey. When a very drunk Jay returns home late, Honey is less than impressed.
