All hell broke loose between Stacey Slater and her mum Jean on EastEnders – leaving BBC viewers worried for Stacey’s safety.
Stacey (Lacey Turner) was left bleeding heavily after her mother (Gillian Wright) pushed her against the bar, leading her daughter to land on several broken bottles.
The duo got embroiled in a bitter brawl on Thursday night (May 26) before poor Stacey was injured by her own mother, and fans were left gasping at their screens.
Stacey went to visit Jean at the mental health unit after becoming worried for her mum’s wellbeing.
Jean returned home last week, much to the delight of Stacey, but she claimed her daughter was trying to poison her and refused to take tablets from anyone else except Lily (Lilia Turner).
Jean told Lily she would get bipolar disorder, which scared the 11-year-old into taking Jean’s medication in a desperate bid to be okay.
Stacey was stunned to see poor Lily trying to ingest some of her nan’s tablets, so she wasted no time at all to rage at Jean for frightening her young daughter.
But Jean lashed out and shoved Stacey into the bar, sending her daughter flying into a bunch of alcohol bottles which smashed on the floor.
Stacey then landed on the shattered bottles, which left her bleeding from her back after being stabbed by the glass.
A stunned Lily leapt to her mum’s rescue and called an ambulance, but Stacey pulled the phone away from the infant and told the operator that Lily had taken her nan’s pills.
Fans on Twitter were left worried for Stacey’s safety as they watched the violent showdown unfold on their TV sets.
One wrote: “Poor Stacey, not gonna be so fine next episode sadly.”
A second said: “Christ, Stacey needs to go to the hospital. Not ready for next week when she’s rushed into hospital.”
A third penned: “stacey putting everyone before herself as always bless her. She’s got the biggest heart and is the best mum. dreading seeing her in so much pain next week, doesn’t deserve it.”
A fourth simply gasped: “Omg Stacey”, whilst another added: “OMG.. jean stacey and lily.”
EastEnders continues Monday May 20 at 7.30 on BBC One.
