EastEnders viewers believe Janine’s downfall is imminent and that Scarlett will be the one to bring her down after they spotted a clue during tonight’s episode (August 30).
Janine (Charlie Brooks) has been watching her boyfriend Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) get close to Linda for weeks and has made it her mission to bring her down.
Her most recent scheme included roping Jada in to her plan and blackmailing her into calling social services on Linda.

Linda, played by Kellie Bright, was left heartbroken after Annie was taken away from her as a result of the call, leading her into a path of rage which took her straight to Janine’s door.
A furious Linda punched Janine and accused her of making the call, but a scheming Janine managed to convince both Linda and Mick that she had nothing to do with it, swearing on Scarlett’s life in the process.
“Look, I swear on Scarlett’s life that I didn’t phone them,” she told the pair, adding: “You can call and ask, you can ask for a recording, you can check my phone! Someone else made that call.”
But while Janine using Scarlett is the perfect cover for her, viewers were straight to their keyboards to theorize that this means Scarlett will be the one behind her downfall.
One wrote: “Scarlett will be the one to grass janine up won’t she? #EastEnders.”
“I think Scarlett may be the one who’ll reveal Janine’s lies at some point…#EastEnders,” added a second.
Another echoed: “You know Scarlett is gonna be the one to blow this thing up #EastEnders.”
While a fourth theorized: “Yeah, Jada is screwed – unless she is more forthcoming with info. If she tells Sharon about the voice memo on Janine’s phone (& who knows what else might be on there). But I hope Scarlett is the one who rumbles Janine. #EastEnders.”
At the end of the episode, Jada admitted to Sharon that she was the one who called social services, but will she spill the beans about Janine’s involvement?
