John Altman, who played the EastEnders villain, got more than he bargained for when he was visited by the spirit. But the telly tough guy insists he wasn’t spooked.
It happened when John was staying near Pluckley, Kent – claimed to be the most haunted place in the country, with a ghost for every 89 residents.

John, 70, told the Daily Star Sunday: “I was near the most haunted village in the UK.
“I was way out in the countryside when it happened. It was an invisible force and it shook the bed.”

Most people would have been petrified, but fearless John took it all in his stride.
He said: “I wasn’t scared. I found it fascinating.”
It’s not the only time John has witnessed a spirit.
He said: “I have had paranormal experiences over the years.”
And it is possible John was close to another spectre while he was working on EastEnders between 1985 and 2015.

Cast members have often claimed the soap’s set in Elstree, Herts, is haunted.
Rose Ayling-Ellis, who plays Frankie Lewis, has seen doors open and slam on their own.
The actress also felt a creepy presence and chills.
Pop superstar Kesha has confessed she may have bent the truth a little when she said she’d had sex with a ghost in the past.

The singer is most known for her hit songs We R Who We R, Animal and TiK ToK but she’s also previously told some pretty wild stories.
The 35-year-old recording artist previously told host Conan O’Brien that she went “to the bone zone” with a ghost and she even sang about the spooky encounter on the track Supernatural.
