EastEnders’ Shona McGarty, 30, and Max Bowden, 27, have become “inseparable” after he split from his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
Shona, who is known for playing Whitney Carter in the soap and Max, who plays Ben Mitchell, have spent some “quality time together”, according to reports.
A source told The Sun: “Max and Shona are mad for each other. They have been spending quality time together for a while now.
“Max and Shona’s friendship is more enthralling than an EastEnders plotline.
“Who knows what could happen in the future but for now, they’re just good friends.”
It comes after the announcement that Max’s pregnant ex-lover, Roisin Buckle, revealed last month that the pair were having a baby boy.

The EastEnders actor is said to have split from Roisin, an insurance executive, earlier this year but is “thrilled” to become a father.
Shona was previously engaged to electrician Ryan Harris, but their relationship ended in late 2019.
The actress revealed in 2021 that after spending over a year as a singleton, she planned on getting back into the dating game.

She told Fabulous magazine: “It’s been quite hard to date this year and I’ve actually never been on a proper date because I find it awkward. I prefer it when things are natural.
“Tinder is just not for me. What would I put on the profile? ‘Likes eating Monster Munch in bed? Takes long baths?’ Forget swipe right, they’d delete the app. I have tried one dating app before, I can’t remember which one, but . . . no.
Admitting that some of her best friends have successfully found love on apps like Tinder, Shona added: “I’m much more of a people person, I like to meet someone in real life.”

The Whitney Carter actress also had a sweet romance with former co-star Matt Lapinskas, who played Anthony Moon in the BBC Soap.
The pair were together for over 18 months from 2011 to 2013 before splitting after Matt left EastEnders.
Shona first appeared in Albert Square as Whitney Dean in 2008.
