Eastenders spoilers: Dotty collapses as 'surprise party' takes a bitter turn

A surprise birthday party for Dotty takes a shocking turn in upcoming Eastenders scenes.

Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero), granddaughter of absent legendary character Dot Cotton (June Brown), eventually collapses after a planned night of fun goes wrong.

The drama begins as Vinny is seen preparing for Dotty’s belated surprise birthday party.

Meanwhile at the café, Patrick offers words of reassurance to Dotty about the anniversary of Nick Cotton’s death, and tells her that they’re ‘all thinking’ of her Grandma Dot at this time.

Unimpressed, Dotty storms out. Patrick and Sonia are then seen watching as Dotty lays flowers outside Number 23 to mark Nick’s passing.

Over at the club, Vinny has everything set up for Dotty’s big surprise — but her reaction after the big reveal is anything but what he would have hoped for.

When Dotty appears she is instead seen to be upset and accuses Vinny of trying to embarrass her, telling him that he should not have thrown the party on the day after her dad’s anniversary.

Later, a drunk Dotty confronts Mitch, who has picked up her flowers. She begins to hurl abuse at him

Dotty drunkenly hurls abuse at him while Rocky watches on, and soon offers to help — but Dotty stumbles off.

Later on, things take a terrifying turn as a horrified Vinny and Rocky find her unconscious and call for help.

In November, Dotty actress Milly Zero spilled the beans on the personal care routine of a Hollywood legend.

Millie starred alongside Jackie Chan in 2017 flick The Foreigner, with the cast including legendary Bond actor Pierce Brosnan.

She opened up to TV Mag about the experience, explaining: “I did a whole day on a film once with Jackie Chan – that was an experience!

“He was showing me all his videos of his martial arts.

“We were in the same green room all day so got to hear loads of his stories, it was so surreal. And he has a personal masseuse. I mean literally, that’s the goal isn’t it?”

EastEnders airs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday on BBC One.
