EastEnders favourite Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) finds herself in danger next week.
The Walford regular is brooding after the news that Martin was Lister’s first choice for the market inspector job.
Her daughter Lily gives her a pep talk, however it’s mayhem over at the market.
Stacey tries to get some order but ends up with rubbish all over her.
Martin Fowler (James Bye) watches on amused but a fed up Stacey admits to him that she hates the job.
Stacey is on a roll about how Martin has made her life hell as she backs into the path of an incoming car.
Will Stacey’s brush with death bring the former lovers back together again?
The pair are currently loggerheads over the market inspector job.
In upcoming scenes, Martin tells Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) that he turned down the role as Stacey prepares for her first day.
Stacey snaps at Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) and Martin when they try to help her because she’s determined to do a good job.
She asks Martin if he’s jealous of her and he can’t help but admit that he was the one who turned the job down first.
Stacey was sent to prison last year when Martin’s estranged wife Ruby Allen framed her for shoving her down the stairs at the club.
Jean Slater subsequently took revenge for her daughter by stitching up Ruby in a drug ring.
Martin was left gobsmacked when Stacey left prison with a wife, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
However, according to Stacey, the pair’s marriage is a sham.
Stacey confessed to mother the pair only got married so Eve could prove to probation officers she had somewhere stable to live after leaving prison.
Elsewhere in Walford, Eve tells Suki Panesar she has been in contact with Ash so she later finds Eve and has a go at her for turning her daughter against her.
