Emmerdale fans were left baffled after Zak Dingle returned to screens.
Zak, played by Steve Halliwell, has been missing from the soap for several weeks and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by viewers.
During tonight’s episode (May 27) of the ITV soap, Zak appeared and gave Noah Dingle some wise words.
After pleading guilty to stalking Chloe, Noah ran away from home and found himself hiding in pavilion.
Noah was quickly discovered by Belle who agreed to let him stay with her upon hearing he didn’t want to stay with his mum, Charity.
Belle brought Noah back to their home as she explained: “He needed somewhere to stay.”
“Has Charity thrown him out?,” Zak furiously asked.
Belle pleaded with Zak, saying: “Dad please, you’re always saying family should be there for each other and whatever he’s done, he is still family.”
Zak begrudgingly responded: “Well I suppose you better stay, but he better not cause any more trouble! And let’s get one thing straight, you’re here to face up to what you did not just slag off your mum.”
He continued: “You’ve caused enough trouble for this family already, we don’t need any more from you. If you step out of line, you step out of the house, have you got that?”
Fans took to social media to question where he’s been all this time.
One wrote: “Sorry but where did Zak just appear from not been in it for months.”
“ZAK!! WTF?!!,” another penned.
A third wrote: “F**k me Zak! #Emmerdale.”
Others took to social media to praise Zak on his stern words to Noah.
One wrote: “Go on Zak laying down the law with Noah.”
“Well said Zak,” another exclaimed.
A third tweeted: “Just what he needed Zak!”
Steve Halliwell has been playing the iconic character for nearly three decades after first setting foot in the village in 1994.
