Emmerdale hunk Mackenzie Boyd cheated on his girlfriend Charity Dingle, but his lover has remained a mystery.
Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) cheated on Charity (Emma Atkins) after finding out the heartbreaking news the couple had lost their baby in an ectopic pregnancy.
It’s left fans scrambling to work out who joined him underneath the sheets, with soap heads sharing several wild theories on social media.

But some viewers think they’ve finally cracked the code and rumbled the identity, and it’s all thanks to a tense and telling phone call that Mack received from his second bedroom beau.

He got the call as he was preparing for his much-needed getaway with Charity, but Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) had been in the room just moments before.
It’s made fans confident that Belle couldn’t have been on the other end of the line and therefore isn’t his lover.
Mack fumed: “Why are you ringing me?” as he tried to keep his voice quiet in a desperate bid not to be caught.

He added: “Yeah yeah I’m going on holiday – not that I need to explain anything to you.”
Before he hung up the phone, Mack said: “Look, you promised you’d stay quiet so just stick to it, alright?”
Fans were sure they’d figured out who it was and flocked to Twitter after Friday’s episode (September 16).
One fan wrote: “Hmmm not belle then, must be Chloe,” as another agreed: “Chloe ringing mack.”

A third wrote: “I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Chas who Mack had a one night stand with, she’s been with everyone else hasn’t she?”
It comes after Mack told a worried Nate (Jurell Carter) that his mystery lover had promised to keep their bedroom business under wraps.
Grilling his mate, Nate asked: “Someone I know? Because if it’s someone from around here, it’ll come out somehow. I thought my secret was safe and she lived miles away.

“You’re going to be bumping into your secret every day in the pub, the pub that Charity runs.”
Mack insisted: “They made me a promise and I believe them. They will have way more to lose if this all got out.”
Some fan theories have included the suggestion that Mack slept with a man, and that he had a threesome.
