Emmerdale star Paige Sandhu could be about to swap the fictional village for the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor.
The actress has recently left the ITV soap as serial killer Meena Jutla was sentenced to life in jail.
Viewers have been waiting to see the evil nurse face justice for months after she caused the death of several villagers.
She killed her best friend Nadine Butler and her own father before she even arrived in the village back in 2020.
Meena has since murdered Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.
She has also attempted to kill her own sister Manpreet Sharma as well as Victoria Sugden, Leyla Harding and Vinny Dingle.
As Paige waves goodbye to Emmerdale, bookies predict that she will be back on our screens in the near future.
Bookmakers have the soap star to appear on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing at 2/1.
Alex Apati, of Ladbrokes, said: “It looks like Paige Sandhu’s next move will take her to the dance floor with Strictly chiefs currently leading the way for her signature.”
Paige wouldn’t be the first Emmerdale star to appear on the glitzy BBC One show.
Kelvin Fletcher, Gemma Atkinson, Claire King and Lisa Riley are just some of her co-stars who’ve taken to the dancelfoor over the years.
Actor Kelvin even managed to win Strictly back in 2019 with his professional dance partner Oti Mabuse.
Back in Emmerdale, viewers were left on the edge of their seats in recent scenes as Meena was finally found guilty for her evil crimes.
Opening up about her exit storyline, Paige told Daily Star and other press: “I always thought that Meena’s storyline was going to have to come to an end at some point, because you just can’t let a villain as bad as Meena just carry on.
“There would be no one left in the village, so her storyline has to come to an end at some point.”
“When I thought about how the writers were going to do that, I thought she has to die because it’s the most epic thing.
“I just imagined that was what they were going to do but when I found out the storyline that they’ve written, I was like “Ooh this is actually way better than I could have imagined.”
Paige has played Meena for two years and before joining the show she appeared in two episodes of rival BBC soap Doctors.
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7.30pm
