Al Chapman has been trying his best to bring Emmerdale’s failing Woolpack down for quite some time but now Emmerdale spoilers can reveal that it could lead him to more than he initially bargained for.
Chas and Marlon Dingle are gutted when they discover their insurance claim is void as they failed to mention the development plans.
Left with no other option, Chas agrees to sign the papers Al has drafted for full ownership of the Woolpack.
A while later, while on a country road, Al is frustrated when his business partner Gavin tells him to offer Chas and Marlon less money than what was already agreed. Despite his initial frustration, Al still goes ahead and drops the price.
But before long, Paddy spots alterations to the plans so Chas examines the fine print and is frustrated to spot Al has dropped the offer by £20k.
Annoyed at his attempt to deceive they decide not to sign but Chas is left angry once again when her brother Cain rips up the contract.
Now that the contract has no signatures on the dotted lines, Gavin puts more pressure on Al and informs him that he only has two days to get it signed, leaving Al feeling under pressure if he fails.
Later on in the week, Mackenzie Boyd manages to steal Al’s phone.
But a little while later, a clandestine figure emerges from the shadows and cuts the brakes on Al’s car with a marked expertise.
Unbeknownst to what has happened to his car, Al offers to give his love interest Kerry Wyatt and her grandson Kyle a lift into town.
While they begin to set out on their travels, Cain is stunned to spot them all approaching the leaking car, but will he decide to stop them in their tracks before it’s too late?
Or will Al become another tragedy in the not-so-quiet Dales?
Elsewhere, Mackenzie finally breaks into Al’s phone and proceeds to read through messages from Gavin.
He then decides to hatch a plan to get answers from the crooked businessman and not before long Cain and Mackenzie meet up with Gavin.
In the village, just before signing the contract, Chas asks Al to promise once everything is signed, he’ll end his feud with Cain; to which he agrees to do.
