Emmerdale viewers concerned over Eve's appearance after real age confirmed

Emmerdale fans were left scratching their heads after Chas Dingle was seen talking to her babbling daughter Eve.

During Wednesday’s visit to the Dales, viewers watched the brunette beauty to the village as she attempted to cover up their affair by lying about her wild night of passion to her three-year-old daughter Eve.

But eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help but share their confusion online after spotting the tiny tot was unable to speak despite walking and talking just days earlier.

As her three-year-old daughter – whose real age was recently on the ITV show – quietly sat in her pram, her loving mum publicly shared her cover story in the Woolpack.

She lied: “So last night was a bit of an adventure, wasn’t it? Fancy the car breaking down on us. But we had a fun night, didn’t we? Just the two of us on our adventure.

“Right, how’s about we have a go on the swings before we burst that bubble, hey?” she concluded.

In the background, her toddler could be hear babbling away before she treated the little one to a fun day at the park.

And it didn’t take long before viewers picked up on the TV blunder as they flocked to Twitter to share their confusion online.

One user penned: “Eve was a three-year-old running around last week, now she’s back in a pushchair talking baby language [cry laughing emoji] #Emmerdale.”

Another added: “I’d be worred about 3 year old toddler Eve in #Emmerdale, she sounds like a baby and sits perfectly still in a pushchair!!

“My 2 year 3 month old granddaughter wouldn’t sit in the pushchair and would be making sense with her speech!”

A third chimed in with: ““How old is Chas and Paddy’s Eve supposed to be? I’m thinking 2 at the very least. So why do they use ‘newborn’ sound effects for her?

“By that age kids don’t need baby monitors, the ‘MUMMMMMYYYYY!’ at the top of their voices usually does the trick! #emmerdale.”

“Last week Eve was sitting up in a chair drawing pictures looking about 3. Now she’s reverted back to a babbling 8 month old. Make your mind up #emmerdale,” one user echoed.
