Ex-Coronation Street star ties the knot to new husband in romantic ceremony

Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan has announced she has tied the knot to her fiancé Dan Acraman in an intimate wedding.

The 31-year-old actress – who is known for her role as Lydia Chambers on the ITV soap – took to Instagram on Tuesday to share her first picture with her husband since they said ‘I Do’.

She posted a stunning snap of the pair dressed up to the nines on their special day after they became man and wife on Saturday (September 24).

In the photo, the TV star was the image of beauty as she transformed the pebbled driveway into a catwalk as she strutted her stuff in a strapless white gown.

The dress featured a large tulle princess skirt while her bust opted for a more structured white satin which she finished with a beautiful white pearl headband.

She could be seen walking hand-in-hand with her groom who rocked a suave black tuxedo which he paired with a black bow tie that he paired with a floral pocket broach.

The pair looked happier than ever as they beamed from ear to ear while walking away from the venue which appeared to be an old fashioned converted barn.

She proudly captioned the post: “Husband and Wife” which she signed off with a black heart emoji and a white heart emoji.

Her loyal legion of fans and her famous friends soon flooded to her comments section to congratulate the newlyweds on their special day online.

Her co-star Mollie Gallagher penned: “Aww congratulations [three heart emojis],” as Summer star Harriet Bibby added: “THE most beautiful Bride [two heart emojis].”

Another user added: “Massive congratulations to you both!!!! [two heart emojis] The day looks absolutely amazing!! Wishing u all the best for the future [two heart emojis].”

It comes after Rebecca revealed back in March during an appearance on Lorraine that she was forced to delay her wedding due to Covid-19.

The TV host highlighted that the soap star had been with her fiancé – British Airways pilot Dan – “for a long, long time”.

The chat show host said: “You’ve been together with your partner for a long, long time. I know that you wanted to get married, but of course Covid got in the way. Is that likely to happen?”

She chuckled as the actress replied: “Yes, we were supposed to get married two years ago, but Covid hit, so we’re back to square one now really – looking for a venue because we couldn’t change the date.

“I’m hoping – we’re hoping to still get married this year, but we haven’t planned anything so I need to see how it goes and get on it really.”
