Ex-Geordie Shore star kicked off flight after drunken row about cosmetic surgery

Former Geordie Shore star Grant Coulson was kicked off a Jet2 flight to Turkey after the reality star got involved in a row with fellow passengers, who had reportedly been drinking.

On Saturday (March 25), the 30-year-old was spotted by a group of holidaymakers as he travelled for his latest bout of cosmetic surgery who recognised him from the popular reality show back in 2016.

The TV star, who had been travelling to get a hair transplant and his teeth fixed overseas, confessed he felt “wound up” by the groups remarks when things quickly became heated after the initially civil meeting turned sour.

As the onboard argument started to take a turn for the worse, airline staff intervened where they later went on to remove Grant from the plane entirely.

Now, in a recent interview with The Sun, Grant shared how his fellow passengers branded him “too famous to fly” following his cosmetic surgery controversy last year.

He explained: “I was on the flight heading to Turkey to get my teeth fixxed and get a hair transplant.

“People were shouting ‘Too famous to fly’ at me and had their phones out. I’d had a few drinks and was being wound up.”

He added: “The plane doors were shut and we were moving but the crew decided to stop and eject me.

“I probably shouldn’t have reacted and should have just ignored it. But I don’t see what I’ve done to be ashamed of. As far as I’m concerned, the haters can go to hell.”

The former call centre worker – who previously claimed he was “too famous to work” – was forced to wait an additional 48 hours to board a separate flight to Turkey for his latest round of cosmetic surgery.

Days before he spoke out on the altercation, an eye-witness told the publication: “When he got on the plane a few people noticed him from the papers.

“Someone then googled his name and a few words were exchanged and things got heated.”

It comes after Grant hit the headlines in November for spending £6,000 in taxpayers cash and £1,500 in Covid grants on plastic surgery.

It is understood the star the eye-watering sum on an additional hair transplant, facial fillers and veneers with the trip abroad paid for with some of his earnings from his subscription on OnlyFans.

At the time, the reality star told The Sun that he “didn’t care” what others thought of his decision to use government money.

He explained: “I’m only claiming what’s rightfully mine. I’m not breaking any laws and I needed to undergo this surgery to increase my confidence.

“I am happy again now and hopefully will be back on TV so won’t need to claim benefit and stuff.”
