Fans of Channel 4’s First Dates were left certain a couple were meant to be together as they casually discussed zombies on their date.
Lachlan, who previously appeared on the popular dating show before, said he wouldn’t change anything this time around despite his previous failure.
But when the young chap was paired with prison officer Becca they seemed to hit it off straight away and quickly started talking about zombies.
With their zombie chat in full swing, viewers were left convinced that they were a certified match.
Taking to Twitter one social media user wrote: “Zombie talk is so romantic.”
Another said: “These two seem compatible.”
A third chimed: “These are a match for sure.”
As their date progressed Becca admitted she wanted someone fun and wanted to be with a person who was able to bring the fun out of her.
And although he was initially nervous, Lachlan appeared to tick Becca’s boxes as he gave thorough details of what he would do during a zombie apocalypse.
Talking to the camera in her confessionals, Becca said: “He’s not off-puttingly geeky.
“He’s passionate about things, that’s good.”
But despite viewers having high hopes for the young couple, it unfortunately wasn’t to be.
Although they both agreed that they wanted to see each other again and did go on another date, they later agreed that they had no plans to meet again.
Jumping back on Twitter, one person shared their disappointment regarding the pair’s lack of romance and urged French maître Fred Sirieix to help.
The social media user commented: “I’m gutted about Lachlan and Becca. #Firstdates come on @fredsirieix1 sort it out.”
Elsewhere on the show, royal biographer and socialite Lady Colin Campbell wanted to hopefully meet “a man, not a mouse” and was paired with debonair artist and fellow socialite Matthew who certainly had his work cut out.
The couple discussed Lady C’s upbringing and her previous relationship where she revealed she got married to ex husband after five days.
But again, Matthew and Lady C decided to not continue dating outside the show after having a difference in political beliefs.
