Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins posed for snap with young fan just days before tragic death

Foo Fighters star Taylor Hawkins posed for a snap with a young fan less than 48 hours before his tragic death.

Nine-year-old Emma Sofia Peralta played her drum set outside the rock star’s hotel to get his attention earlier this week.

According to a viral post by Emma’s dad, the young musician started a “campaign” to meet her idol while he stayed at a hotel in Paraguay while on tour with his band.

Emma’s father, named on Twitter as Julius, took to social media to share a snap of his daughter and her hero smiling together outside of the hotel on Tuesday.

He penned alongside the snap: “Since my daughter found out that Foo Fighters were coming, she started a campaign to meet them.

“Today [Tuesday] we took her drums to play in front of the Sheraton and look who came out at her call. Dreams come true.”

He also posted a video of the event, where Taylor, 50, can be seen greeting the adoring crowd and taking pictures with the talented young musician.

The picture ended up being one of the last pictures ever taken of the rocker, who was found dead in a hotel room in Bogota on Friday (March 25).

Emma’s father took to social media to grieve the legendary drummer, alongside many rock icons and Foo Fighters fans.

He suggested that the little girl hadn’t yet been told of the tragedy in his post on Friday night.

“We are devastated. I don’t know how to tell this to Emma.”

In a later post, he added that his and his partner haven’t broken the news of Taylor’s death to the young fan because she has been performing and they don’t want her to be devastated on stage.
