Gemma Atkinson apologises to beau Gorka Marquez as she declares she loves 'big knickers'

Gemma Atkinson has opened up about her bathroom habits as confessed an embarrassing admission following the birth of her daughter Mia in 2019.

The 37-year-old mum took to her Instagram account to admit that she still wears her “big knicker” that she bought for her post baby body nearly three years after she welcomed her bundle of joy.

As the former Emmerdale actress prepared for the launch of her second book, The Ultimate Body Plan, the blonde bombshell shared a little too much information with her 1.7million followers online.

And as fans excitedly wait for her new book to be available to purchase, the TV star – who is engaged to Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez – shared a hilarious excerpt from her book on Instagram.

In a lengthy post on the popular social media platform, the radio DJ made a candid admission about the aftermath of her lengthy labour for mothers who have given birth.

She penned: “Three weeks until publication day! The ultimate body plan for new mums’ is almost here! Thought I’s share some pages from my book with you.

“The Sani pads, pile cream and that first poo after a baby is what still makes me laugh looking back.

“I genuinely felt I was birthing a 2nd child out my bum with that poo! Who’s with me?”

The blonde beauty also confessed that she still dons her Bridget Jones style underwear to this day because they are extremely comfortable.

She added: “The big knickers I still wear occasionally because THEY ARE SO COMFY! (Sorry Gorks).”

And as she promoted her new book she went on to share how the book also includes a variety of healthy meals which she makes on a regular basis at home.

But she confessed that the book isn’t just for first-time mothers, rather it is for mums at any stage of their parenting journey, whether it be through the terrible two’s, the nightmare teenage years or older.

She went on: “It’s for mums at any stage. Covering the highs & lows of pregnancy, the stuff no one ever talks about because it’s ‘too much’.

“I went there and covered it all, t*t sweat included! And also, still getting piles even with a C section! Wtf is that about? I didn’t even push her out!”

Gemma concluded: “Ladies, it’s not right for you to be unable to laugh, sneeze or exercise without leaking! You don’t have to live with that! The program is for at home or in the gym.”

And it’s fair to say the mum-of-one was flooded with comments from her doting fans online as many mothers related to her brutally honest post.

One user said: “Love it! I got my big knickers out of my bag at the hospital – the midwife looked at me, shook her head and said, ‘They aren’t big enough knickers!’”

Another agreed: “Nobody tells you about these things! The trauma,” while a third chimed in with: “The big pants after a C-section are a must!”
