GMB fans slam Kate Garraway's 'shouty' presenting as she talks over ITV co-host

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has been criticised by ITV viewers as they claimed she was rather “shouty” on Friday morning’s show (April 22).

The 54-year-old took the reins on the popular breakfast programme alongside co-host Richard Bacon, but fans noticed Kate often spoke over and interrupted her co-host.

When the pair were in conversation, spectators at home also noticed that Richard could hardly get a word in and said the new host was “out of his depth.”

Taking to Twitter in their droves, fans shared their thoughts on Kate’s shouting and the presenters’ dynamic.

One person penned: “Well the show this week has been an even bigger s**t show than usual. Kate not letting Richard get a word in, when he dare try she rudely shuts him down. How about they both let each other take turns, or can Kate not cope without the spotlight on her?”

Kate was slammed by viewers

Another fumed: “You have to wonder, how Kate Garraway ever Secured documentaries, on the basis of skill and experience, there’s very few presenters, more annoying and obnoxious and dominating than her, shout.”

A third said: “The hosting and interviewing skills of both Kate and Richard this morning is horrendous!! What is the constant speaking over each other and Kate’s constant eye fluttering out of frustration is hilarious!”

While a fourth simply said: “Richard bacon out of his depth on @gmb.”

Some felt Richard was out of his depth

However, some fans were not understanding why Kate was receiving so much criticism and jumped to her defence.

One person on Twitter wrote: “Odd to read so much criticism of Kate Garroway on Twitter today. She’s usually pretty good. Forthright rather than hogging the show.”

Another chimed: “I love Kate.”

TV presenter Richard Bacon surprised viewers on Thursday (April 21) after he made his first appearance on GMB.

Richard appeared as a presenter on GMB for the first time this week

Introducing the show at the time, Kate said: “Richard Bacon is here!”

“He’s already lively, he’s a bit jet-lagged, I feel giddy already, you’re not going to need a shot of espresso this morning,” she continued.

But some fans were rather perplexed by his appearance, with one viewer writing: “Why is Richard Bacon co-hosting #GMB when he lives in Los Angeles? Couldn’t they at least find a presenter who lives in the UK?”
