Susanna asked Kate how Derek was doing, which prompted Kate to say: “He’s doing alright. He is phenomenally fatigued at the moment.

“He’s very fatigued and very weak, the trip to the pantomime he wasn’t out of bed afterwards.

“But he thought it was worth it, it was a special day to be sitting there with the children, holding their hands and it being normal. But it took a lot out of him. We don’t know what this year is going to bring.”

Kate also opened up on how she would like to highlight the aftermath of those who suffered from Covid-19 or any disease and navigate the way forward as a family in her next documentary.
