GMB's Richard Arnold left red-faced as he tells viewers to see raunchy West End show

Richard Arnonld was left red-faced during Good Morning Britain as he encouraged viewers to watch a critically acclaimed raunchy West End show.

During Wednesday’s (March 16) instalment of the popular ITV morning show, the popular entertainment correspondent was put in the difficult position of explaining Taron Egerton’s new debut theatre role in his new play.

The new production, titled C*ck written by Mike Bartlett back in 2009, tells the story of a gay couple who quickly find themselves embroiled in a love triangle while on a short break after one half of the duo falls head over heels in love with a woman.

However, the title of the play left the 52-year-old shifting in his seat as he attempted to explain the name of the play to viewers at home without swearing live on air.

As producers showed clips from the opening night of the show, the showbiz star revealed how the star-studded cast received a standing ovation with many of their fellow celebrity friends in attendance.

But Susanna Reid and her co-host Richard Madeley couldn’t help but poke fun at the showbiz broadcaster on the show.

The 51-year-old “And we will hear from Queen Charlotte shortly, keeping up the Bridgerton theme. You’re very excited about not mentioning the name of the play aren’t you?”

Richard chuckled in his seat, saying: “No, I think I’m less excited about that than they [the producers] are more nervous about it backstage, about me possibly mentioning the name of the play.”

Eager to make him squirm, I’m A Celebrity star Richard Madeley quipped: “What does it rhyme with?”

“It rhymes with knock, sock and rock so there you have it.” he replied. “It’s running at the Ambassador’s until June 4th . Plenty of bums on seats I’m sure.”

It was at this point that the entire studio erupted into laughter as the journalist cleverly dodged the question on the show.

Susanna laughed: “You just have to work out the name of it so that you can google it.”
