Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid says Matt Hancock shouldn’t join I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! because “he’s not a celebrity” in fierce on air clash.

As the politician landed in Australia yesterday, the presenting duo welcomed former campmate Lembit Öpik and broadcaster Dominique Taegon onto the show to share their thoughts on his controversial ITV show stint.

She pointed out: “That’s a good point Lembit, the programme’s called I’m A Celebrity – he’s not a celebrity, he’s an MP!”

Refusing to take the issue lying down, Lembit explained: “He’s a celebrity now, he’s been on every front page in the country.”
Dominique argued: “But that’s the problem. I’m not interested in seeing Matt Hancock galivanting on TV trying to reinstate his public image because that’s what this is about”.
But the ITV presenter rightly pointed out: “I’m sure there’s a lot of people that would like to see him do just that in the jungle…”
