Holly and Phil lift lid on wild This Morning Xmas party that left staff 'on the floor'

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield lifted the lid on the wild This Morning Christmas party that left staff “on the floor”.

Hosting the mid-week show, the two pals looked bright eyed and fresh faced as they headed up the ITV1 Daytime show on December 7.

The beloved duo spoke of the Christmas party that all This Morning staff enjoyed earlier on in the week – and which left some a little worse for wear.

“Welcome to your Wednesday This Morning,” said Holly as she welcomed viewers to the show.

Phil then said: “Another festive-packed show for you today, and actually we’re feeling alright.”

Holly, who looked incredible in a grey knitted dress, then added: “Not all members of the team are feeling alright this morning, let me tell you.”

“I don’t know whether we should name names,” added Phil, before Holly chimed in and said: “Ellie,” in a stern tone.

“Who ended up on Alice Beer’s utility room floor, with Emma, our deputy editor,” Phil revealed.

Crew members were said to have ended up on the floor

“The flag was well and truly flown at the Christmas party yesterday,” Holly jested.

Phil then defended the team by adding: “The team have worked incredibly hard, and they did deserve a little bit of a break.”

The hosting duo then lifted the lid further on the annual This Morning Christmas party.

Phil explained that the lunch they all attended was held in James Blunt’s pub – The Fox and Pheasant.

The duo didn’t hold back on revealing all

James’ pub’s website states: “A little country pub tucked away in a corner of Chelsea, serving great food including Sunday roasts and Saturday brunch.”

They went on to say that singer James, who owns the pub, even ended up gate-crashing the party.

It was then revealed that another famous face gate-crashed the staff party also.

Phil explained how Chris Evans also made an entrance and joined in on the This Morning festivities.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
