I'm A Celeb fans fume over 'backstabbing' dig as Matt Hancock is branded 'oblivious'

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans were fuming on Saturday night (November 19) over “backstabbing” digs from “two faced” campmates as Matt Hancock got branded “oblivious”.

While former health secretary Matt Hancock went off to attempt to win Dingo Dollars with Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner, the campmates discussed the MP’s place in camp.

Football legend and Lioness Jill Scott spoke of how Matt seems “oblivious” while Coronation’s Street Sue Cleaver and radio sensation Chris Moyles said “he’s not like us” (see video above for the campmates’ honest thoughts).

But former Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh defended Matt and said that he didn’t agree with Jill’s “oblivious” comment – which left the comedian in many viewers’ good books.

Fans quickly took to Twitter to discuss the “two faced” comments that many perceived as “backstabbing”.

“All this gossiping behind Matt’s back only plays into his hands. Nobody likes a bully, especially when it’s a few of them,” fumed one.

Another added: “Another day another begrudged backstabbing conversation about Matt but none of them will actually talk to him like a human being and say it to his face…

“Grow some balls and get it all out in the open then move on.”

“Oh what a surprise, more backstabbing! I hope Matt wins just so I can see their faces drop! The only genuine one in there is Seann,” went on a third.

While a fourth penned: “How two faced are most of the camp mates this year, slag Matt of behind his back but more then happy to eat the meals when he wins all the stars.”

This came 24 hours after Charlene was voted out of the camp by the general public.

The Loose Women panellist was announced as the first celebrity to be eliminated after admitting that she wouldn’t sleep in the RV with Matt Hancock.

Charlene said that this was because of her commitment to being an “impartial journalist” and because if she has to interview him as a minister in the future – she wouldn’t feel right having shared a room with him.
