I’m A Celebrity star Owen Warner looking for love in jungle as he shares ideal partner

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! contestant Owen Warner has said that he hopes his Hollyoaks teammates will support him.

During an interview with the Daily Star, the Hollyoaks actor explained: “Hopefully all the people from Hollyoaks will be watching and they’re the same as my mum they’ll wanna see me doing everything eating everything. Hopefully they’ll be watching it.”

As well as getting support from home, he hopes that he will get lucky with romance during his jungle stint.

Explaining what he looks for in a relationship, Owen, who previously dated former co-star Stephanie Davis, shared: “I want someone who matches my energy, someone with a good bubbly personality that I can have a laugh with.”

Following his big break in Hollyoaks, Owen has been playing the role of Romeo Nightingale in Emmerdale since 2018.

He will be joined in the Australian Outback by a bunch of different and familiar faces such as Love Island’s Olivia Attwood, comedian Seann Walsh, and former BBC Radio 1 legend Chris Moyles.

I’m A Celebrity will be returning to the jungle after two years in Gwyrch Castle in Wales due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

The programme’s hosts Ant and Dec announced the news on This Morning earlier this year.

Speaking about the return to Oz, Declan Donnelly, 46, said: “As long as they let us in the country, we’ll be back.

“We had two lovely years in Wales.

“We really enjoyed our time in Wales but the show has to be in Australia, we have to go back.”

The show’s broadcaster, ITV, also released a statement after the announcement.

In the statement, they said: “Returning to its home in Australia after a two-year break, our celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend up to three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created for them.”

The programme will be back on our screens on Sunday (November 6).
