The awkward encounter occurred as the celebrities arrived for a stunning marina meet-and-greet hours before being transported to a less glamorous home in the Australian jungle.

Boy George was the first celeb to arrive at the marina and was swiftly followed by Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver.

The former Culture Club singer said: “It feels glamorous, but I’ve got a suspicion…”

Dressed in a black-and-white shirt and black trousers, Owen was next to arrive and informed George and Sue he was “pinching himself”.

Scarlette then arrived, leading to Owen’s confusion.

Of the TV beauty, George told Owen: “She’s from A Place in the Sun.”

Not realising the show George was referring to, a confused Owen replied: “Whereabouts?”

An amused Boy George later replied: “No, like the TV show.”
