James said: “I’m surprised he thinks it’s appropriate for him to do it to be honest.
“You want escapism on reality TV and I think it’s a bit raw still to have him on there.
“Advice… I think, get yourself out there.
“I signed myself up for the first trial possible because I just wanted to throw myself in there so I think, you know, boredom was a big thing so staying busy and doing tasks is what I would recommend to anyone going in there.”
Host Ben Shephard also weighed in on Matt’s casting.
He added: “I’m not sure he’ll have much choice about what he does and doesn’t do because I think he’ll end up doing every trial for stars.”

“And at any point, any celebrity can say I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
“Nobody has to do the show in the same way and nobody has to stay in camp and nobody has to do a trial. So it’s up to any celebrity to make that choice.”
Good Morning Britain airs from 6am on weekdays. I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! returns at 9pm on Sunday night (November 6) on ITV.
