Inside The Masked Singer Tour – new judges, same host and brand new disguises

The Masked Singer is a cultural phenomenon so an exciting arena tour is the natural next step.

The ITV series has been entertaining audiences since its UK inception in 2020 and a touring version of the hit show will be hitting the road later this year.

With 10 dates lined up from Liverpool to London, The Masked Singer: Live On Stage will take place in April, with just a few changes on board.

While comedian Joel Dommett will be returning on presenting duties, The Masked Singer judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross will be replaced with three other superstar judges.

So, what other changes can The Masked Singer fans expect from the tour?

New superstar judges

Former The Masked Singer contestant Denise Van Outen will sit on the judging panel for the Live On Stage tour

The Masked Singer: Live On Stage tour will welcome former competitors Aston Merrygold and Denise Van Outen as judges this time around.

They will be joined by a mystery third celebrity judge who will change every night of the tour.

Of the tour, Denise said (via Daily Record): “I am so excited to be a judge on The Masked Singer Live tour.

“I’m sure we’re going to be thrilled by an incredible line-up of mystery celebrities bringing electrifying live performances to audiences up and down the country.”

Aston added: “The idea of taking The Masked Singer to arenas around the country is absolutely brilliant.

“The show is not about judgment, it’s about having fun and keeping the audiences guessing.

“I am so happy to be joining the panel.

“Being on other side of the desk will be exhilarating in a completely different way, but still with all the excitement and drama of the TV series. I can’t wait to see everyone around the UK at the shows! Bring it on!”

Same old host

While The Masked Singer: Live On Stage tour judging panel will look completely different, nothing is changing presenting wise – with Joel Dommett returning to the fore.

The 36-year-old comedian will continue his role from the show and just like in the series, he will have no idea which celebrities are hiding behind the masks before their big reveals.

Teasing his involvement, Joel said: “I don’t know their identities, so I’ll be guessing along with the arena audiences.

“I can’t wait to get this show on the road in April, it’s going to be epic.”

Brand new disguises every night

The Masked Singer: Live On Stage tour will see two different celebrities unmasked at every show and feature a plethora of famous faces – some who have appeared on the show previously, others who haven’t.

Attendees can also enjoy a brand new catalogue of costumes, songs, and dance routines.

While celebrities who have been on the show before will crop up during the tour, they will be unrecognisable and in a different costume than the one they were unmasked in previously.

To avoid repetition of the tour format, the same two celebrities from one tour date won’t be in the same costume for the next date, meaning every unmasking will be a true surprise.

The audience can also enjoy stunning new sets, as they’re asked to chant: “Who’s behind the mask?” along with the judges.

It should make for an exciting night!

The Masked Singer: Live On Stage arena tour kicks off April 2 in Liverpool.
