Isobel Steele has reportedly quit ITV soap Emmerdale after starring as Liv Flaherty for six years.
According to The Sun, Isobel’s final scenes are set to air later this year, with her character tragically killed off in what will come as a blow to soap fans.
A source told the publication: “It’s been a big decision for Isobel but she’s ready to try new things.

“She feels like she’s done all she can at Emmerdale and wants to focus on her music career and make a real go of it. Bosses have pulled out all the stops for the 50th anniversary month and Isobel’s exit will be no different.”
The insider promised fans will be “on the edge of their seats”, and admitted Liv’s death will be a “real heartbreaker” – something avid soap viewers will remember for “a long time to come”.
It comes as I’m A Celeb star Danny Miller is set to make his return to the ITV Dales as Liv’s on-screen brother Aaron Dingle.
A TV source said the pair are “like brother and sister” in real life, with Isobel reportedly looking forward to their reunion.
In her personal life, Isobel plays guitar and often records covers of popular songs to upload to her social media accounts.
But it now appears she wants to go full-time with her music career after covering everything from ABBA to Harry Styles on her YouTube channel.
Across her incredible soap career, Isobel has had plenty of juicy storylines to get her teeth stuck into, most recently being conned by her evil mum Sandra who was desperate for her daughter’s inheritance money.
But as a recovering alcoholic, Liv has been to prison twice in her young life, as well as finally tying the knot with her beloved Vinny Dingle.

Teasing what’s to come for the teen, the 50th anniversary trailer has shown Liv and Vinny fleeing through the woods together, with Vinny looking as though he is being swept away by the strong winds.
Eagle-eyed fans also think they have spotted a hooded figure lurking just out of eyeshot in the new trailer, with some speculating it could be serial killer Meena Jutla heading to finish what she started.
But could Meena be the one to end Liv’s life?
Viewers will have to wait and see.
