Alison Hammond’s new ITV show has hit a sore spot with viewers after they slam it’s poor timing.
The presenter’s new programme exploring the finer things in life was broadcast on Friday (December 23) – but viewers have found it “tasteless”.
Down-to-earth Alison visited some of the world’s finest locations and for the first episode, she visited the French Riviera.

However, fans at home took to social media to share their thoughts on the show.
One wrote: “As much as I love you Alison, I wonder if there is an appetite for this while we’re all going through the hardest of times? Normally I’d watch this but it just doesn’t feel right, right now.”
A second added: “Just seen advertised Alison Hammond prog about how the super-rich tick on at 9pm – maybe not the best program to put on.”
While a third penned: “During a cost of living crisis this country has not seen in a generation @ITV please can you tell me how you thought scheduling Alison Hammond’s view into how the ‘super rich’ live, two days before Christmas, was a good idea…”
“Now I LOVE Alison Hammond, but I don’t think showing her experiencing all things “super rich” is what people want to be seeing while they’re struggling with the cost of living this Christmas,” a fourth shared.
A fifth put: “Let’s make more programs about how the wealthy live, it’ll keep us all warm at night.”
“@AlisonHammond you know what I am not watching your super rich programme tonight, because it’s inappropriate in light of people struggling to pay there fuel bills, celebrities make me sick thinking about themselves and sod everyone else, have a s*** xmas like thousands that are,” ranted a sixth.
Another used fumed: “Pointless, senseless and totally insensitive when so many people/families are struggling to make ends meet, you decide to showcase the privileged and rich demonstrate their gluttony and materialism. You disgust me!”
While one more posted: “So tasteless of ITV to send Alison Hammond to St Tropez to show us how the mega rich live whilst there’s a cost of living crisis happening in the UK.”
On the show, she spoke to former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard who gave her a tour around Monaco in his lavish convertible car and met a Barcadi heiress.
