ITV's Ruth Langsford takes swipe at husband Eamonn Holmes during holiday in Greece

Ruth Langsford tickled her fans as she cheekily branded her hubby Eamonn Holmes an “ancient relic” during their sun-soaked Greek holiday.

The pair jetted off to Athens to unwind together over the Easter break, and Ruth couldn’t resist a light-hearted dig at Eamonn as they took in the sights.

Sharing a snap on Instagram of the TV stars smiling in front of the Acropolis, the Loose Women presenter teased: “I love an ancient relic… the Acropolis was amazing too!!”

“Little Easter break in Athens with my beloved,” she added, posting a heart emoji.

Fans were thoroughly amused by Ruth’s little joke.

“Good job she loves you,” another teased.

“Ha ha very funny,” said another.

One giggled: “Poor Eamonn, he’s not that old.”

Plenty of fans said they loved seeing the snap of Ruth and GB News star Eamonn – who are both 62 – enjoying some time off the small screen together.

“You both deserved a break,” one of Ruth’s followers wrote.

“So nice to see you both enjoy a lovely break together, you both deserve it,” said another.

“Great picture of you both,” one fan commented.

Another person said the TV legends were a “beautiful couple”.

Eamonn and Ruth started dating in the late 90s and they welcomed a son together in 2002, before going on to tie the knot in 2010.

Marking their wedding anniversary last year, Ruth shared an adorable snap of them on the dance floor on their big day, taken from behind as their arms were wrapped around each other and their heads were turned away from the camera.

“Still holding on tight to each other after 25 years… 11 of them married today!” she wrote.

“Happy Anniversary my darling,” she said, adding a single red heart emoji to her sweet message.

It comes after Ruth warned Eamonn that if he dates any of her close pals if she dies, she’d come back to haunt him.

Speaking on Loose Women back in January, she warned her beloved: “I will say, Eamonn if you end up with any of my friends I will come back and I will haunt you both!”
