Donald Trump has announced the death of his former wife, Ivana, describing her as a “beautiful woman”.
Her devastated family confirmed that Ivana, 73, was found dead in her New York apartment earlier today [July 14].
Reports claim that New York police responded to a call of a person suffering from cardiac arrest on East 64th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at 12.40pm.
Officials state that Ivana’s death is not suspicious and she appears to have died of natural causes.

Confirming her death, her former husband took to his social media platform, Truth Social, writing: “I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City.
“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.
“Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”
Meanwhile, her children said in a statement: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump.
“Our mother was an incredible woman – a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor.
“She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.
“She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”
The former President and Ivana married in 1977 and she held senior positions within the Trump Organisation, including vice president of interior design and CEO of Trump’s Castle casino.
Despite once being happy, the pair soon faced difficulties after Donald’s affair with Marla Maples became public and their messy divorce was officially granted in 1992.
After their divorce, Ivana went on to become a successful businesswoman, with a collection of clothing and jewellery lines as well as beauty products.

She also wrote several books, as well as Raising Trump – documenting her time with the controversial President, as well as growing up in Czechoslovakia under the Communist role.
But despite divorcing, Ivana was still in contact with Trump, who went on to remarry twice, most recently to Melania Trump in 2005.
Speaking about her relationship with Donald, she told ABC News that she had a “direct number” to him while he was in The White House.
In 2017, she told the network: “I (don’t) really want to call him there, because Melania is there.”
Dropping an almighty bombshell in true Ivana style, she added: “I don’t want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that, because I’m basically the first Trump wife, I’m [the] First Lady.”
