Jeremy Clarkson branded 'fat bumbling idiot' by Richard Hammond in Clarkson's Farm dig

Richard Hammond has weighed in on what he thinks about Jeremy Clarkson’s hit farming show, Clarkson’s Farm.

Richard and Top Gear pal Jeremy have filmed motor shows together for years, and they’ve just wrapped the fifth series of The Grand Tour – A Scandi Flick – which hits Prime Video on 16th September.

The post-pandemic road-trip sees Richard, Jeremy and James May embark on another wild tour, but this time they’re tackling the icy corners of Scandinavia, from the coast of Norway to the border of Russia.

However, Richard revealed his brutally-honest thoughts about Jeremy and Clarkson’s Farm during an exclusive chat with Daily Star and other press.

When asked if Hammond if he would be tuning in to the second series of Clarkson’s Farm, and if Jeremy has changed after getting stuck into his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire, Hammond told Daily Star: “Of course I’ll tune in. I don’t think it has, no. It’s a genuine passion of his. He’s always wanted to pursue it.”

The second season of Clarkson’s Farm is believed to air on Prime Video around January and February next year.

However, he then slammed Clarkson by branding him the “same bumbling idiot” as he was before the show, before calling him “fat and annoying”.

Hammond went on: “He’s the same bumbling idiot who over-reaches himself and can’t help but make a noise, so he’s just the same, really.

“I don’t watch that [the show] and think ‘that’s a different Jeremy to the Jeremy I work with’. It’s him. Tall, fat, annoying and out of control. There’s no difference!”

When asked whether there were any bust-ups on set during the filming of the new Norway series, Richard confirmed the feuds “ramped up”.

He admitted he and Jeremy got embroiled in “all-out war” as a result of May’s horror crash, which saw the star rushed to hospitalised after crashing a car into a wall at 75mph.

Hammond said: “Oh god, it’s endless! I mean we did get a bit bickery about navigation, because when you can’t see and wake up and discover you’re not where you thought you were, that warrants an argument.

“Also, the arguing and rivalry has ramped up a little bit because James had temporarily incapacitated himself due to rank stupidity, and forgetting where the brake pedal is. Jeremy and I just indulged in all-out war between us, which was great fun!”

But beneath the bickering, it’s clear the trio are more fond of each-other than ever.

Richard added: “The great thing about the arguments and the physical pranks we play on each-other is whenever one of us does something awful to one of the others, your first thought if it’s you it’s been done to is always ‘yeah well fair enough, I’d have done the same to you if I’d have got the chance!'”
