Johnny Depp’s texts reveal he’d ‘have sex with Amber Heard’s corpse’, court hears

Johnny Depp texted an actor pal about drowning and burning Amber Heard before having sex with her corpse, a court has heard.

As the multimillion dollar defamation trial continues, Depp’s messages were read out in the courtroom to the jury, with Heard’s attorney Ben Rottenborn repeating one exchange from June 11, 2013.

Rottenborn said: “After you said let’s drown her before we burn her, you said I will f*** her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she’s dead.

“Did I read that right?”

Depp confirmed: “Yes, you did.”

Another message from two years later – after Heard and Depp had tied the knot – Depp wrote: “I never ever want to lay eyes on that filthy w****, Amber.”

Rottenborn clarified: “When you called Amber that filthy w****, she was you wife at the time?” to which Depp responded: “Correct.”

Other texts saw Depp refer to a woman as an “idiot cow”, and a “worthless hooker”, along with writing: “I’ll smack the ugly c*** around before I let her in, don’t worry.”

The 58-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor was cross-examined on Thursday (April 21) as part of the civil defamation claim against his ex-wife in Fairfax, Virginia.

Depp is seeking more than £38million in damages, while Heard has filed a countersuit against her ex for almost £78million.

Her counterclaim accuses the Hollywood actor of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her, describing his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment”.

Depp, meanwhile, claims Heard’s domestic abuse claims have harmed his career and reputation.

It comes after Depp alleged that he would often lock himself in a bathroom to avoid being attacked by Heard, explaining that their arguments would escalate as his ex would “search for weaknesses” to berate him over.

He told the jury: “It became ammunition for Ms Heard to either verbally decimate me or to send me into a tailspin of confusion and depression.

“It’s not a happy day, week, it’s not a happy month when you are constantly being told you are wrong about this and that and what an idiot you are. It became an endless circle.

“As it began to escalate, I went back to what I learned from youth to remove myself from the situation. There is only so much your ears can hear.

“If she didn’t allow me to walk away, there were times I would lock myself in the bathroom or somewhere where she couldn’t get into. That happened often over the years.”

It comes after Depp admitted he took pills and cocaine with Marilyn Manson on Thursday, telling the court: “I once gave Marilyn Manson a pill so he would stop talking so much.”

Heard’s attorney asked: “You’d sometimes drink whiskey in the morning?” to which Depp responded: “Isn’t happy hour any time?”

He later introduced an email from July 2013 from Depp to Sir Elton John, to undermine the testimony that his children didn’t like Heard.

The actor had written: “On the other side of the coin, my kids have fallen head over heels in deep love with Amber, my girl, and that pressure is off my shoulders, is f****** gone, that is until the French extortionist ex c*** attempts to brainwash them against her, which I’m sure is imminent.”

The trial continues.
