Katie Price says drink-drive crash was suicide attempt as exes pushed her over the edge

Katie Price has revealed that she has tried to take her own life twice, including hanging herself and a horror drink-drive car crash.

Ahead of the release of her new Channel 4 documentary Katie Price: Trauma & Me, where Katie talks about suffering from PTSD, Katie spoke to Daily Star about the trauma she has faced.

In her documentary, Katie reveals that she attempted to hang herself in 2018 and “wanted to die” and also came to breaking point before her car crash last year.

Mum-of-five Katie, 44, claimed that the treatment of her ex-husbands are what’s to blame for her getting so low and calls them her “triggers”.

Katie also shared that she started seeing a therapist once a week to help her deal with her mental health and learn ways to help live with PTSD.

During this time, she was forced to focus on what her “triggers” were and she pinpointed them down to her ex-husbands.

Talking about the night of her crash, Katie said: “When I had one of my children on the phone who said ‘dad said I can see you now’, that was the final thing for me.

“That was an ex-husband, that’s why then I live in the countryside and I needed to talk to someone. I had no outlet, I’ve let my kids down.

“I’m not justifying anything but there was a reason why I got in the car and my head was like that.

“When I say my ex-husbands are like ‘that’ behind my back and when you get told by your children that ‘dad won’t let me see you’, my kids are my life and they know the only thing in my life are my children and when they gang up together it’s very exhausting.”

Adding more about her ex-husbands Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler, she describes them as getting “obsessed” with her and expresses how they want to “destroy her life”.

Katie shares two children Junior, 17 and Princess, 15, with Peter, and two with Kieran, Jett, 9, and Bunny, 8.

Katie Price: Trauma & Me airs on Thursday 8th September at 9pm on Channel 4 & All 4.
