Katie Price, 43, will be focusing on renovating her famous mucky mansion after a series of unfortunate incidents left the location looking less than glamorous.
The mother-of-five is gearing up to make the lavish property habitable once again – and with a new TV series in the works on Channel 4, titled My Mucky Mansion, fans will be able to see Katie’s full renovation journey.
However, the new show isn’t the only thing that inspired Katie to fix up the entire house.
The Sun has reported that her children, Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, “hate” the house and are reportedly currently refusing to live there.
A source claimed to the publication that Katie found out that the pair “hate” the house during filming.
They added: “Although she’s also said she hates it, she really wants to turn the house around – she’s re-doing all of the bedrooms to make it a proper home again.”
The property has been hit with multiple downfalls ever since Katie bought it for a whopping £2m from former Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude in 2014.
In 2018, part of her home was damaged by fire after her son Jett’s room went up in flames, leaving the room and the hallway blackened by smoke.
In 2020 and 2021, Katie’s mansion was targeted by thieves and last year Katie also had fly tippers dump rubbish at the lavish home.
Katie will be leaving the past behind her and focusing on the positive as she gears up for the new renovation project and the Channel 4 programme that comes with it.
She’s set to include a newly fitted kitchen and specially designed bedrooms for all five of her children.
Speaking about the exciting adventure, Katie said: “My house has been called the Mucky Mansion in the past, but it’s not that anymore, I’m making it a home.
“I’m getting my hands dirty and doing a lot of the work myself and, with the help of my amazing family and some brilliant friends, I’m putting the past behind me and rebuilding.
“My house is a bit like my life, it’s being put back together like I’m being put back together.”
Katie will also be starring in a one-off documentary titled Katie Price: Trauma and Me, where viewers will see her discuss her own battle with mental health.
Neither TV shows have a start date just yet, but it’s expected to be released in the coming months.
