Kevin Spacey “flirted with a teenage John Barrowman” and “took him back to his apartment” in the 1980s, a US court has heard.
The House of Cards actor, 62, is currently being sued by Hollywood star Anthony Rapp, 50, over claims he drunkenly lifted him onto a bed and climbed on top of him as a 14-year-old boy.
Rapp has since filed a $40million (£36million) civil lawsuit against Spacey alleging battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

During court proceedings on Tuesday, Spacey’s lawyers insisted “nothing inappropriate” happened when the Se7en star met Barrowman, now 55, alongside Rapp in 1984.
The actors – who are believed to have been high school friends – are said to have met Spacey backstage at a New York theatre before going on with him to dinner and a nightclub.
Barrowman was 19 and is believed to have been staying with Rapp at the time the alleged incident occurred.
In a deposition by the Doctor Who star quoted in court by Spacey’s lawyer Jennifer Keller, Barrowman claimed he and Spacey had lain on bed together but didn’t engage in any sexual activity due to Rapp’s presence.
Claiming “nothing inappropriate” had occurred, Keller claimed that Barrowman had said he’d stayed in touch with Spacey after the encounter, sending him flowers.
Barrowman also claimed Spacey had often called him and his mother, which she “enjoyed”.
Rapp first came forward with allegations against Spacey in 2017.
The Star Trek: Discovery star claimed Spacey had made sexual advances towards him during a Manhattan house party when he was 14 years old and Spacey 26 or 27.
Spacey denies the claims against him though previously wrote on Twitter: “If I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years.”
Rapp’s lawsuit follows a criminal charge of sexual assault against Spacey being dismissed by a judge in 2020.
